Act 1: Arrival at Kalaman
Party arrives at Kalaman by boat, seeing big towers as they approach.
The Refugee Crisis:
- 100 refugee camps outside the city on the shore
- Camps filled with refugees from different places (not just Vogler)
- City is being overwhelmed by the refugee influx
- Making camp outside city walls
Act 2: The Ancient Kender
Haive’s Divine Encounter:
- Haive helped an old kender man with a sprained ankle
- When Haive healed the ankle, the old man’s head snapped in the other direction
- Haive was transported into another dimension - spiritual/deity realm
- Deity revealed: This kender predates The Cataclysm (impossibly old)
- Haive received a blessing from his deity
Act 3: The Gate
City Entry Problems:
- Guards at the gate turning away certain races (discrimination)
- Guards have no specific insignia (unusual - whose authority?)
- Long customs line along city walls outside
- Tattered merchant stalls outside walls
- Priest preaching to everyone in line
Act 4: Silus Tries to Skip the Line
Failed Attempt:
- Silus went to front of line trying to get in early
- Guard stopped the party
- Silus claimed business with Mages of High Sorcery
- Guard didn’t know what that was - forced party back in line
The Supervisor:
- Guard supervisor (Sodin) being a hardass
- Baccahrus family entered ahead of time (privilege/influence)
- Supervisor eventually lets party in to represent Vogler
- Party given audience to make case for refugee shelter
Act 5: Entering Kalaman
Sodin’s Decision:
The Forges:
- Kadmos Forge - on the left
- Short door (presumably dwarven forge)
- Tyria Forge - on the right
- Sharper, less smoke
- Sounds of hot steel
Act 6: Tyria’s Magic Shop
Silus Visits Tyria Forge:
- Owner is a dwarf, better kempt than typical
- She has a talisman from Mages of High Sorcery
- Opens secret door in the back
- Runs a hidden magic shop behind the forge
- Another sweaty dwarf bursts into the shop
Act 7: Preparing the Case
Mission:
- Party heading to castle to argue why Vogler refugees should be housed
- Plan: Leverage information about Red Dragon Army to secure entry
Act 8: Baccahrus Confrontation
Outside the Hall:
- Baccahrus the Young tries to block party entrance
- His father inside speaking for the people
- Silus uses mage hand to unbuckle Baccahrus’s pants in public as they round the corner
- Public humiliation
Act 9: Audience with the Governor
Meeting Governor Kaeloph Meit:
- Governor welcomes party
- Baccahrus the Elder present (father)
- Party convinces Meit that Baccahrus the Elder is NOT the representative
- Baccahrus the Elder gets sent out
The Council Meeting:
- Party sent away while councillors deliberate
- DECISION: Refugees allowed inside walls
- Given food and shelter
Act 10: The Deal
Conditions for Refuge:
- Party must share ALL information about Red Dragon Army
- Every scout Kalaman sent never came back - desperate for intelligence
- Party offered positions as informants
- Will receive pay
Who Accepted:

- Given blue and gold symbol of Kalaman (identification/badge)
- Given special housing
Act 11: Training Offer
Haive’s Observation:
Act 12: The Ergothian Merchants
Zagreus’s Past:
- Saw merchants outside wearing same armor as Zagreus
- They scoffed at him (recognition? Shame? Rivalry?)
- Ergoth connection
Act 13: Wyhan’s Apothecary
- Wyhan is female (she/her)
- Owns an apothecary shop
- Party delivered scroll from Mages of High Sorcery
The Scroll:
- Good we didn’t open it - would have been bad
- Sealed for Wyhan only
The Interview:
- Wyhan asked questions:
- Why do you do magic?
- What robe are you? (robed orders: Black, White, Red?)
- Long discussion about magic
Critical Information:
- Must go to Waereth (location for mages?)
- Mages of High Sorcery aren’t new - they’re ancient
- Much older than party realized
