Session Summary
Act 1: Southern Port Preparations
Party gathered at the Southern Port with Becklin’s Mysterious Box.
The Weber Family Crisis:
- Weber family missing from evacuation
- Family of four: two parents, two kids
- Bureaucrat at port asking annoying questions about party size to account for escape routes
- Silus leaves Vaubin to handle him
Division of Labor:
- Thalia: Getting rope and tying boats together
- Haive: Helping pack boats
- Zagreus: Calming children down
- Silus and Calendur: Going to Weber home to retrieve the family
Act 2: The Weber Home
Silus and Calendur went to the Weber home to convince them to evacuate.
The Confrontation:
- Weber father refused to leave
- Calendur convinced them (didn’t go well but worked)
- Calendur gave his name
- Silus did NOT give his name (maintaining anonymity?)
Act 3: Raiding the Baccahrus Estate
Silus, Thalia, and Calendur raided the Baccahrus family estate.
Loot Acquired:
- 6 rings, each engraved with the Baccahrus family crest
- Presumably valuable/significant
Act 4: Final Words with the Defenders
Party went to the camp to speak with Becklin and Kudgel.
The Last Stand:
- Becklin and Kudgel going to front of battlefield to hold the line
- Party stays back to help with evacuation
- This is goodbye
Act 5: The Red Dragon Army Attacks
The Enemy Arrives:
- Red Dragon Army revealed to be dragon people (draconians?)
- They swooped in attacking during evacuation
- Party defends civilians while they escape
The False Dragon:
- A dragon flew down from the Northern gate
- Breathing fire
- IT’S A FAKE DRAGON - actually a mechanical construct
- Dragon people are manning/piloting it
- Elaborate war machine designed to terrify
Act 6: Derret’s Stand
Derret’s Moment:
- Derret put up a good fight
- Battled what appeared to be the head dragon/dragon leader
- Proving himself in combat
Act 7: Fighting Retreat
- Party defeated enemies in front of them
- The human section of Red Dragon Army just now marching in
- Two-pronged attack: dragon people first, then human soldiers
- Most of village managed to escape
- Party makes it to the final boat
Act 8: Waiting for Jaev
- Party held the boat for Jaev
- Jaev is Becklin’s Lieutenant (not Kudgel’s as previously thought)
- Jaev made it to the boat
Act 9: The Box Revealed
Becklin’s Mysterious Box Contents:
- Silus gave Derret the box
- Inside: A full suit of armor
- Armor signifies Derret is now a Knight of Solamnia, Order of the Sword
- Becklin’s final gift to her student - his knighthood
Act 10: Journey to Kalaman
- Party now headed to Kalaman
- Civilians safe on boats
- Vogler left behind
- Becklin and Kudgel’s fate unknown

- Red Dragon Army’s frontline troops are dragon people/draconians
- The dragon was a fake/mechanical construct piloted by dragon people
- Derret proved himself in battle and received knighthood armor
- Jaev is Becklin’s lieutenant, not Kudgel’s

- Red Dragon Army has human troops following the dragon people
- Silus is keeping his identity secret (didn’t give name to Webers)
